Diego Chaves
Illustrator & Author

Diego Chaves is an illustrator and author born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and raised in Massachusetts. He earned his BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design in Boston.

He has illustrated three children’s books, including Leo and the Plastic Collecting Submarine, which he also wrote and illustrated.

Diego is the creator of The Monster Detective Files, an independent graphic novel series that combines storytelling, illustration, and sequential art. Through his work, he creates imaginative worlds driven by characters, atmosphere, and visual storytelling.

He is currently based in the greater Boston area.
